Caleb returned home today after a week at 6th grade camp. He had a blast! After being home long enough to check on Chloe (his guinea pig) and a shower he was headed off to baseball practice. This past week was a mini vacation for me from my daily taxi shuttle for that boy. As a family we all missed him, but enjoyed the peace & quiet. Caleb is our talker and loves to make constant noise. However, having him gone left an uneasy and empty feeling. I think he also enjoyed the break from the family, but was glad to be home.
The boys were not even home together for a half hour and Cody was headed off to a scout beach camp out. Of course he didn't want to go and I was making him. I am the meanest mom in the whole wide world and the camp out was gonna be totally lame. I guess hanging out at home with mom & dad sounded like more fun. Go figure... these teenage years are gonna be pay back for me! I think the real reason he didn't want to participate was because in the morning they are going to return back to the church just in time for roadshow practice. He, He, He... that's one battle I don't have to fight in the morning with him :) As always, the boys were all having a blast playing in the church parking lot before they left on the camp out.

Wow, that's crazy! 6th grade camp for a week? Glad he had fun. And I think it's great you made Cody go to a beach camp-out for scouts(only in California) ... he'll thank you someday :)
That sounds like fun! Cody didn't want to get away from the family? I thought all teenagers wanted that?
I still can't believe you have teenagers. Your boys are so grown up!
Wow, your kids are growing up so fast! Is Cody in Highschool now? And Abby is just a little lady! We hope you are all doing well!
