Valentine's Day - Bring it on!

I finally boxed up our Christmas decorations this past weekend and our house feels a little bare & naked. Sophie misses the decorations too. She has nothing to knock over, hit, kick or rearrange. I think it's time to break out our Valentine's decorations. I love decorating for any holiday season and my blog included! Darren is out of town duck hunting and I have nothing better to do (besides the piles of laundry or bathrooms that always need attention) so I'm playing around with my blog backgrounds. I love Valentine's Day and I'm wanting to be extra creative this year with my family. Do any of you have fun traditions that you do or any great suggestions for me?

No- but I am going to check back here to see what others suggested so I can copy! You can always hang cut out heart on a string from the ceiling- thus the kids can help- cut them out and decorate them

I'll never forget Mom coloring the milk green on St. Patrick's Day. Start a tradition of coloring the milk pink on Valentine's Day. Your kids will never forget it and I'm sure Cody and Caleb will love it on their cereal.(wink, wink)

My mom used to make our lunches with everything heart-shaped, pink or red. For example, she would use a heart shaped cookie cutter to cut out the bread for our sandwiches and then included other items in our lunch like a red apple, strawberry yogurt, red vines, strawberries, etc. Most importantly, she would leave a little valentine in there to us from her. I loved lunches on holidays!
