Sophie Did!
This month Sophie celebrated her 3rd birthday and we invited the entire Candy Land characters to come join the fun! I must admit Dora & Sponge-Bob were Sophie's top choices but unfortunately they weren't able to attend. She did however get Sponge-Bob pj's and a cute Dora purse & umbrella so she was thrilled!
We made lollipop invitations to pass out to our friends. Once they arrived we decorated bags with cute candy land stickers. We then went on a scavenger hunt throughout the house. King Kandy, Lord Licorice, Princess Frosting, Lolly, Grandma Nut and Mr. Mint all left us yummy treats. We played a couple games of Candy Walk, opened gifts and sang Happy Birthday!
Can't believe our little Sophie is 3 years old. A week after she was born we had to be evacuated due to the San Diego wild fires. That was such an emotional experience for me. Not prepared for an emergency and having to leave our home so quickly with a newborn and 3 other children. I remember being so grateful for our safety and love for one another. Each year at her birthday I am reminded of that experience and thankful for all my blessings.

She is SO dang cute Julie! Hope she had a great b-day. I can't believe you had to evacuate with a newborn! That would have been emotional for any mom.

I can't believe she is 3! The saddest part is that we have never met her! We really need to change that! I'm thinking we need to take a trip up in that area since most the Bake's live there now:)
