Cody ~ Catalina Island
I was so jealous.... Cody flew back to California earlier this month for a visit! He was invited by his old Scout Leader in San Diego to join them for their High Adventure activity. They went kayaking, snorkeling, camping, spear fishing, cave exploring and spent a week on Catalina Island. Grandpa Helm gave Cody his old Hawaiian Sling to fish with. Cody was proud to announce that he caught the biggest fish! It was a once in a lifetime opportunity which he loved and I am so grateful he had this chance to reconnect with his old friends. Moving during the middle of your Sophomore year is tough and I have carried so much guilt since our move in February. I know Cody misses San Diego and will always treasure his memories of his friends, the beach, In & Out and of course his High School and football experiences. I realized while he was away just how much I love him. I felt lost knowing we were not complete as a family while he was away. I am so grateful for his fun adventures and I'm thankful for his safe return.
