May Happenings!

San Diego Zoo
We went to the Zoo with Grandma Helm. I know it actually looks like Abby was ready for a modeling shoot. This little girl sees a camera and she instantly strikes a pose.
My two girls couldn't be more opposite!
Abby ~ pink & hair bows = princess
Sophie ~ dirt & bugs = tom boy
Grateful for both because they complete our family!

Always fun with Grandma

It was a long day :)
Sophie had more fun picking the nose on the brass statue then observing the real gorillas

Not to exciting today - most the animals just rolled around or slept
So we bought our own Monkeys to take home
This is "Priscella"
And Sophie named her monkey "Pearl" (That's what Abby told me)

*Crazy Spring Storm last week*
We enjoyed a bizarre spring hail storm for only a few minutes
(instant flashback memories of living in the Midwest)

Abby collected the hail and Sophie ate it

*Play dates*
Spent a few day trips at the Mission Trails Regional Park
learned about wild animals, went on hikes and completed crafts
Abby & her friend Keira
Abby found something interesting I think ?
*Cody's 1st Triathlon*
Cody competed in the San Diego Scout Council Triathlon on Fiesta Island
(I don't know what happened - thought I had a better front photo
at least you can see his cute smiley face & #14 on his legs)
*Abby*
Abby finished her last Gymnastics class at the Community Center

She was so proud to wear her medal
*Caleb*
Crazy Hair Day at school

Our future actor (Caleb - far right)
6th Grade Class Play
Sophie is his biggest fan

Grateful for fun loving teachers ~ Mrs. Morales is one of them

Sophie showing off that Abby's shoes are cool, especially with swimwear attire
Pool parties, celebrations, awards and much much more have taken over the calendar the past few weeks. As we prepare for this last week of school I have mixed feelings towards summer. Beach days, friends, vacations, birthday and the beautiful weather make summer time exciting and memorable. However, no school makes for some pretty long days playing police woman, chef, taxi driver, and maid with no break in sight. Would I want to sacrifice giving any of that up? No way bring on summer vacation! (Just remind me if I ever complain that I wanted it)
May 30 Th
Our Wedding Anniversary
We did it! We made it to 17 years together and we are looking forward to so many more. Had to include this old picture since many of you never knew Darren with hair.

Wow, you had a busy month, makes me exhausted just seeing the pictures.
The boys are growing up so fast, and the girls are so adorable.

Love your wedding picture, that's the Darren I remember!
