High School Flash Back

Ok, I actually attended Cody's seminary class this morning and I was on time. Yippee! Times have changed since I went to seminary. You enter through the kitchen door where they log you in on their attendance computer, which keeps track of your daily arrival time. Yikes! We began with a opening song (remember this is 6:30 AM and I don't sing very well anytime during the day) Of course there were only about 4 of us at this point. Thank goodness the teacher has a beautiful voice so you could actually feel the spirit. She then continued with a spiritual thought and discussed the goals for teaching the New Testament this year. I remember seminary and I don't have the best memories and this morning I felt like I was in High School all over again. However, now since I'm sending my son every morning to school I view seminary with a different outlook. I am so grateful for the armor & shield that he puts on everyday while at seminary. What a blessing seminary is and the opportunity it gives to our young kids to prepare for the challenges that come to the youth. I'm so grateful for the other dozen parents and their kids who are a part of Cody's life. All these kids have each other and I hope they will continue to build and strengthen their friendships throughout their next four years together. I took this photo on my drive home this morning in celebration and remembrance of the good old days. To conclude my flash back high school days Darren and I are going to the TPHS football game tonight. Go Falcons!

Jules,
I was playing catch up with my families blogs(I'm too cool to have one of my own blogs) and saw your name on my sisters' friends list. I just wanted to say hello and was excited to see your family on your blog. I was at the old HB stake center for my sisters wedding a few weeks ago and saw Becca! It's been many moons since I've seen her and it brought back many memories. I am so happy to see that you are doing great! Drop me an email and let's play catch up!
